Highly skilled mechanic who safely performs diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders.
* Perform the removal, repair and installation of transmissions, engines, breaks, differentials, pumps, motors, torque convertors, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components
* Performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machine systems such as: hydraulic, power train and engines
* Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed
* Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections
* Operate mobile equipment such as: Overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks
* Perform welding such as: Carbon arc, Plasma, Mig, Tig, and Stick
* Performs as a Fill-in Supervisor as required
* Train and mentor other employees
* Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

* Two (2) years experience in Heavy equipment mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance
* Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English
* Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
* Ability to prioritize repairs and possess excellent decision making skills
* Ability to troubleshoot machine systems
* Ability to work and effectively communicate with others
* Ability to read and use blueprints
